Fresh Air Cooling System for Exhaust Gas
As an alternative to an air-to-air heat exchanger, gas can also be cooled using a system for the injection of fresh air. Instead of an air-to-air heat exchanger, this design uses a mixing chamber into which fresh air is injected. The fresh air mixes with and reduces the temperature of the hot exhaust air from the clinker cooler. Compared to the heat exchanger, construction costs for this design are lower. But because the volume flow increases with this system, the filtration plant must have larger dimensions.
