Design and implementation features
Crude gas enters the filter housing and is deflected upward by a deflector plate, a process that pre-separates coarse particles form the gas stream. This also causes the gas flow in the filter to be diverted from the top to the bottom, which supports the settling motion of the dust. The dust particles are retained on the surface of the filter medium and the air then flows through the filter medium and exits as clean gas. The separated dust falls into the dust collection sump. A discharge screw continuously removes the separated material from the filter.
